Principal Financial Group Sales Compensation Administrative Associate in Des Moines, Iowa

What You'll Do

As a Sales Compensation Administrative Associate in our Sales Compensation area, you’ll provide a wide variety of services to marketers, sales offices, business partners, and department personnel. You'll partner with financial professionals and firms, and advocate for the interest of advisors within Principal with a goal of improving producer dedication to the company.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

  • Work with advisors, field offices, and business partners to ensure compensation is paid appropriately.

  • Adhere to state and federal regulations.

  • Excel in a fast-paced position that will provide you with long term growth opportunity.

  • Assisting advisors by recognizing and researching unusual, sophisticated, or problematic situations.

  • Presenting optimally with internal and external customers.

Who You Are

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school graduate required.

  • 2+ years of experience required. Customer service, financial service industry experience preferred.

  • Experience working in Salesforce is helpful.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Requires good problem solving, interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, willing to meet same day deadlines, and evaluate and improve processes.

  • Work experience related to quality/production-based goals required.

  • Basic math, interpersonal, reading comprehension and interpretation, and digital literacy.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$16.75 - $31.73 / hour

Time Off Program

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC).
